Conditions
- Our team had access to TLCASC employees and customers.
- The study had to be completed according to the class timetable. Each deliverable had a specific deadline.
- We had access to a report on a similar study conducted by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and were able to confirm some of their finding as well as report on findings not covered by the HSUS report.
- While the course requirements specified a generic outline for the analysis, the specific design for our project was an original effort by the team.

Scope
- This analysis is the basis for a project proposal to conduct a root cause analysis of a stated performance problem at TLCASC.
- Our team completed the performance system analysis and presented recommendations in a final report as well as a presentation to the client.
- TLCASC is currently implementing a selection of our recommendations within the scope of their reorganization.

Role
- I was the project leader for this project.
- Within the scope of my responsibilities, I created the project plan, assigned team roles and tasks, scheduled all customer interactions, and was the primary point of contact for the customer.
- Due to unforeseen circumstances, I ended up writing most of the text based on the research conducted by the team and created most of the charts, models, and tables.
- The flow chart and table presented in this artifact were produced by me and reviewed and edited by the other team members.
