EVALUATION & RESEARCH - Artifact 2: Satisfaction Survey

After the release of new systems, users should be encouraged to provide their feedback to allow the designer to make any necessary improvements. One form of collecting such feedback is the survey. The following is an example of a custom survey on the usability of an electronic performance support system.

Context
  • This survey was handed out to the department chairs ad deans at the annual "Chairs & Directors Meeting" at Florida State University in the Fall of 2005.
  • The survey followed a presentation reviewing the functionality of the online course evaluation system and introducing some new features that had been added over the summer.

Conditions
  • I independently designed the survey and administered it after my presentation at the meeting.
  • The date and duration of the presentation was determined by the Office of the Provost.
Scope
  • The results of the survey confirmed that the system was well received in general.
  • The survey will be used again at future presentations.
Role
  • I personally completed all phases of the project, including the analysis presented in this artifact.
