EVALUATION & RESEARCH - Artifact 3: Research Plan

Conducting research is also an integral part of systematic instructional design. While much of the research is conducted in the analysis phase, follow-up longitudinal studies are often necessary to monitor the progress and measure the success of performance improvement projects.

Context
  • This research plan was composed in the context of a project for EME6691, Performance Systems Analysis, taught by Dr. A. Darabi in the Fall of 2005.
  • While this plan details the collection of data prior to the design of a performance intervention, a similar plan would be used to measure the success of the intervention after its implementation over time.

Conditions
  • I designed this research plan in order to plan for the data collection in preparation for the system analysis.
  • The timeline of the project was dictated by the class syllabus.
Scope
  • The plan was implemented during the analysis phase of the project.
Role
  • In my role as the project manager, I personally ceated the research plan presented in the artifact and assigned the research tasks to the team members.
